Yellow Sunshines April News
Look what we learned last month!
In the month of March, the Yellow Sunshines learned their colors, shapes, numbers 1-10, and letters A-Z. They also learned about big animals, small animals, and multicultural. VONS and Carol Cipra read a Dr. Seuss book and brought a special snack for the children. The children wore their crazy hats or crazy hair to school. The Sunshines had a fun time on green day, eating green snacks, wearing green clothes, looking for gold and Lucky the Leprechaun. In art, they created a variety of green art to decorate their classroom for St. Patrick's Day. For example, they made St Patrick Cards, painted shamrocks, and applied stickers to shamrocks. Other creations were made by the children, like rainbows, bugs, and sunflowers. They also made baskets for the egg hunt and special spring card for their families.
What we will learn this month…
For the month of April, the Yellow Sunshines will be learning about growing things and bugs. They will be working on their letters A-Z and recognizing colors and shapes all around us. We will work on tracing our names and letters of the week. Spring is here and we will plant seeds and watch them grow. The children will be making spring and bug art. For example, flower handprints, butterflies, etc. We will be hunting for bugs that are safe to touch.
