News, Notes & Reminders

Even though February is the shortest month of the year we have much going on! It is the international month of friendship which we will honor with discussions, stories, and encouragement on how to show love to friends. We will also celebrate with a special “Kindness Challenge” all month long. We will also review and reinforce colors & shapes recognition. We have a celebration planned for Valentine’s Day on Friday, 2/12. We encourage you to bring valentines prepared at home (signed but not addressed) for your child to share with their classmates. If you are able to help out by bringing something for the party, links to the online sign up sheets will be sent out in a separate email.

Our February curriculum will feature many creative art explorations using theme colors and shapes to decorate our classrooms. Our reading focus will be on books about love & friendship, rhyming as well as our community including the post office.

Your child needs a LABELED jacket at school everyday.

Class Valentines Day parties are on Friday, February 12th.

We will be CLOSED on February 15th, Presidents Day.

We need everyone to do their part to reduce the risk of exposure in our centers

Updated guidance on face coverings

It is now required that everyone in California wear a mask or face covering when outside of their home, with limited exceptions. Read more in the updated guidance for face coverings that was issued by the state on November 16th and updated November 25 at the following site: https://covid19.ca.gov/masks- and-ppe/

Out of courtesy to our staff, your fellow parents and all AIL families; please wear a facecoving at drop off/pick up. Lastly, we want to thank the vast majority of our AIL community that has been taking the necessary steps to keep everyone healthy during this challenging time.

These are the last sounds you want to hear coming from your child. PLEASE HELP US KEEP EVERYONE HEALTHY! This is NOT the year to medicate your child and send them off to school. We want to be here and open to support you. In consideration of this and our AIL family; DO NOT send your child to school if they have ANY cold or flu-like symptoms
