Blue Birds May News
Look what we learned last month!
In the month of April, the Blue Birds learned about Life on a Farm, Nature, Our Environment, Plants and Growing Things. We imagined what it would be like to live on a farm and all the animals we would take care of. We also talked about nature and our environment and what we can do to take care of our beautiful planet Earth. We had a great time sorting our recyclables and making things out of our “trash.” Thanks to our owners, Mrs. Melinda and Mr. Don, the Blue Birds have been able to watch tiny caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies. We have enjoyed watching them grow every day! The Blue Birds also talked about different plants and things they can grow at home! In celebration of spring, we had an egg-cellent spring party. We enjoyed healthy treats and even went on an egg hunt!! We started reviewing our Zoo Phonic letters Aa and Bb at the end of March and have made it all the way to letter Jj.
What we will learn this month…
For the month of May, the Blue Birds will be learning all about moms, insects and creepy crawlies, and colors. We will be making beautiful Mother’s Day gifts for our moms and talk about why they have a special place in our hearts. The Blue Birds have two weeks dedicated to making all sorts of insect and creepy crawly art and learning interesting and fun facts and we will discover how to tell them all apart! We will end the month with a classroom full of colorful art and paintings! Bring your sunglasses. J This month, we will be reviewing Zoo Phonics letters Kk-Rr.
