If you just had your first child, you are likely very overwhelmed. Infant care is not easy, and it takes time to learn. At Adventures In Learning, we understand this all too well. Here are our tips for new parents to keep sane and survive your transition into parenthood.

Be Flexible

As you get to know your baby and their needs, you will have to adapt to a new lifestyle. You will learn that you cannot control everything, and you will have to figure out what works for you and your baby. Be open to change.

Sleep When Your Baby Sleeps

Sleep deprivation is a universal experience for new parents. Take advantage of the moments your baby is not crying by sleeping when they sleep. Whether they are down for a nap or for the night, get some sleep as well while you can.

Log Your Baby’s Habits

Try writing down when your baby eats and sleeps to identify any patterns. This will also help our teachers at Adventures In Learning to establish the right schedule for your baby.

Don’t Try To Be Perfect

You are not a superhuman, so don’t try to be. Infant care is very draining, so don’t be hard on yourself if you aren’t perfect all the time. You will not be able to do everything for your baby, which is why you should also…
