 Tustin After School Program

Hard to believe November and the year is almost over! We had a great month. We decorated our seasonal board with awesome turkeys that everyone made by themselves, and made a collage of the things we are thankful for. I am very happy to see that the kids took some time to think about it and gave thanks for things that are truly important! Good job parents! Homework had been getting done quicker and more efficiently every day, I am super proud of the kids and their critical thinking skills and their ability to problem solve on their own…and with a little help sometimes.

Next month we will change our seasonal board to: “Walking in a Winter Wonderland”. If you haven’t checked out our board before, please do so – all of the things we put up are all ideas from the kids as I really like to focus and encourage their imagination and ideas. We will also be putting on our own Christmas play or concert and I will try to take video no matter what we decide. We will also be reading about holidays around the world and if you have anything special and/or unique that you do during the holidays, please have your child write a little something about it or bring in something to share so we can take time to appreciate all the diversity in the world and in our own lives.

If you would like to see all the fun things we’ve done and are doing please go to our photo gallery.  You can also subscribe to receive email alerts every time the website is updated by going to our homepage and subscribing in the upper right hand corner.

I would just like to say a special thanks to ALL of the kids. Their has been some major improvements with behavior and all around attitudes in regards to taking responsibility for our actions, using our words, being great leaders and role models for our younger friends and just all around being awesome!! And again a special thanks to all parents for your support and patience with parties, etc. We couldn’t do it without you!

Please be sure your children are bringing their homework every day.

Please be sure to bring a photo of your child so we can decorate our window. If you have done so already, thank you!

And as always, please do not hesitate to approach me about any concerns or special requests you may have in regards to your child’s homework, etc.  I am always available and will be more than happy to address them and help in any way possible.
