Look what we’ve learned!
In the month of May, the Yellow Sunshines learned about weather, sky and space, and how special Moms are. The children enjoyed making special gifts for their Mom and learned a special song for her. For weather, they made kites, clouds, suns, and rainbows. As a class, we enjoyed flying the kites on a windy day. They also had fun painting with different colors, drawing on paper planes, and drawing planets. The children learned what planets are and were we live. We also made rocket balloons. The Yellow Sunshines reviewed our colors, shapes, letters, and numbers.
What we will learn in the month of June…
For the month of June, the Yellow Sunshines will be learning about water, and how special Dads are. Together, we will be exploring many things we can do with water, and how important it is to conserve water. The children will be making special gifts for our Dads this month. The Yellow Sunshines will review the letters A-Z, all colors, shapes, and numbers 1-10.

Look what we’ve learned!
In the month of May, the children helped celebrate the teachers for Teacher
Appreciation week and we felt very special with all the special treats. For
Mother's Day, the Red Robins created special gifts for their moms. We really hope all the moms enjoyed them. Every child had something special to say about their mom and why they are special. For example: "because she takes me to nice restaurants, she cooks me yummy dinner, my mommy loves me, cause she takes care of me when I'm sick, cause she decorates my room, she takes me to the dentist, mommy takes us to birthday parties, and she takes me to Disneyland."
As a class, we talked about a variety of bugs and we learned new things about them. For example, bees buzzing sounds are made from the wings flapping, butterflies use their antennaes to smell and to feel. Did you know there are over 400 different ladybugs in North America and there are over 30 thousand kinds of spiders. The Red Robins created two different types of butterflies and they painted pictures of different insects and creepy crawlies.
During the week of colors, the Red Robins looked at the wall with the shapes and colors and they tried to draw the shapes and write the shape and color down on paper.
The children also practiced their letters with rainbow writing. As a class, we played the eye spy game with colors. The children took turns guessing what their friends where spying.
As a class, we reviewed all the basic shapes and the letters Ii – Rr.
June 18th is appraoching us quickly, so we have been practicing our three graduation songs.
What we will learn in the month of June…
For the month of June, The Red Robins will be
practing more of their graduation songs up until our graduation. On our graduation, the graduating Red Robins will show off their moves and sing our songs to all the parents. We will also have a special Luau Lunch at 11:00 AM in the Red Robin class to celebrate our graduation on June 21st.
We will learn about different types of foods and the children will make a collage with healthy and not so healthy foods. As a class, we will make our own lemon-aid pops and decorate a plate to make it look like a pizza.
We will also talk about our dads and make them special gifts for them. Shh it's a surprise. The children will also draw a picture of themselves with their dad or grandpa.
For music and movement, the Red Robins will make their own guitars and decorate them. We will put on a concert in the park to celebrate our graduation and we will rock out in our class for our Luau party.

Infant Class June News
Tustin Preschool
Look at what we’ve learned…
In May our infants learned more about springtime and now we are going to learn about summer.
We watched our lima beans grow and also the grass we planted.
We enjoyed sensory activities such as cornstarch mixed with water.
We made special hand/foot print crafts for our mommies.
We have been going outside and enjoying the warm weather.
About your children’s growth…

Eli is always ready to give us a smile. He enjoys playing with Jack and Eli is beginning to crawl backwards! Soon he will be crawling forward. Great progress Eli!
Jack is always finding a way to get around the classroom. He enjoys Eli’s company and is doing a great job sleeping on a cot. He is still doing his “army crawl”. Soon we will see him crawling on his hands and knees.
Rosalinda is doing a great job listening and following directions. We will continue to work with her on using her words. She is always so friendly with her classmates.
Zelah is so helpful with our little ones! She likes to help us hold their bottles for them and she is talking a lot more! She can even say “Eli”. And she also repeats what she hears.
Lyla is our little sweet pea! She know how to hold her own bottle and she is doing a great job rolling over. We will continue to help her sit up and have tummy time.
Sophie is always full of joy and very talkative. She loves going outside and loves playing with Zelah and Rosalinda. She loves sensory activities and learning new things.
Zoey enjoys outside time and is getting to know the classroom and her peers. She is full of smiles!
Welcome Carley! Carley is a happy baby and is great friends with Layla. They talk a lot when they are next to each other.
This month we will…
This month we will continue to recognize our classmates, discover through sensory activities, learn about summer and make creative art projects.
