TODDLER PRESCHOOL IMPORTANT INFO

Our preschool and daycare center uses a holistic approach to help your child grow. We focus on all areas of childhood development in the Yellow Sunshines preschool program — intellectual, social-emotional, and physical development is incorporated into everything we do.

Curriculum

Adventures in Learning knows that academic learning can and should start at an early age. We implement a curriculum that begins working with letters and language, counting and numbers, shapes, colors, and cognitive skills (such as practicing paying attention, thinking, reasoning, and imagining). Your child will also continue working on their social-emotional growth by practicing positive interactions with other students.

Every lesson we teach is designed to be engaging and fun! We incorporate art, sensory activities, music, and movement into each and every day. Our licensed caregivers know how much energy your toddler has, and we make sure our lessons are developmentally appropriate for this age group.

Playtime

We know how essential playtime is for kids. Not only do children love to play, but it’s an important aspect of their growth and development. Practicing social and emotional skills, using imagination and creativity, getting physical exercise — all of these playtime components play a vital role in your child’s life (and their future). When your child comes to preschool and daycare at Adventures in Learning, they’ll work on all of these skills and have fun doing so.

Independent Practice

Growing in independence, learning to navigate the world on their own, while also building strong social skills are incredibly important at this age. Your toddler will practice sharing and taking turns, and continue focusing on certain self-help skills as well. Some of the areas you can expect your child to grow in include:

  • Self-dressing
  • Washing hands
  • Cleaning up their messes (throwing away trash, etc.)
  • Using their words
  • Listening and following directions
  • Making friends and managing positive relationships
  • Forming a sense of identity and sel

With Adventures in Learning, your toddler will not only be in the best possible care, they’ll be guided and encouraged in their development — helping them both in the present and the future. These are some of the most important years of growth in your child’s life. Make sure your young one is with the right preschool — enroll them with Adventures in Learning today.
